Does This Outfit Look Okay?

It's pretty cold here in the UK atm so it will be some time before I wear this out. A good friend of mine is having her 21st birthday in June and the theme is glamour/old Hollywood. Thinking about wearing this then. Thoughts? Does it look okay? I'd straighten my hair and wear it out (sits around below my shoulders) and maybe a pretty bow in it or something. 😊 I'd wear it with black heels too and a black small handbag and gold jewellery. My hair is dyed red atm but planning to have it as a nice soft brown with some honey blonde highlights through it soon so it won't clash with the dress.

Black shoes and black hand bag with silver or pewter accent pieces. I don’t particularly like the leg slit but I would be comfortable standing with you.

The the dress looks great, I much prefer your hair down though and the eye lashes are a bit much (though your eye lashes seem fine in your profile pic, so maybe with hair down its fine?).

Thank you. Yeah in my profile photo I had classic natural lash extensions and some mascara on. In this photo I had some thick and dramatic false lashes on for a thing I had been doing earlier before trying in this dress I purchased. Thank you for the feed back. :)

Im not really sure about the boa having looked it up on wikipedia.

It says it was in fashion in the 1920s and the 1970s, so not the right era as old holywood is like 1950s i guess?

I dunno, its a little bit six of one half a dozen of another to me because a boa would do a great job of conveying that sort of show biz glamour but as i say its not historically accurate so there are probably better ways of being in theme.
