I got blocked on a how do I look thing? But I will share anyway?

I got blocked on a post asking about what picture looks the best. The original was like this:

As opposed to a second pic like this:

And I said I liked the first pic better but maybe like this:

Anyway, since I got blocked while spending like a whole 15 mins on it in Photoshop and maybe pissing her off that I thought A was good but might use some improvement, I figured I might as well post it here.

I will have my vengeance! :-D Well, I just don't like being cut off when I'm working hard on something.

I couldn't post my attempts at something I liked better. That pissed me off because I spent a good deal of time painting in the background over the top of her head and tilting the pic. I also have to sort of fall in love with a picture to attempt my personal idea of improvement. It's jarring to me when I invest all this effort and mindset and time and try to post and find out I'm blocked.

I made her exquisite though, didn't I? The negative space on her original said nothing at all to me, and I wanted more negative space at the top to reflect her gaze up at the sky. That was the most tedious painting the background above her to match the photo. Then I thought a slight tilt would make it most beautiful. I think I did some good only to find I got blocked before I could post it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: GaG needs to adjust the block feature so that you don't see questions posted by people you blocked or that blocked you. Because the way it is now, you see their questions and maybe you forget you blocked them or you didn't know they blocked you, so you write out an answer.

Especially if like you, you put in some work to create something like the Photoshopped version, or like me, you take time to link articles or post pictures, it's a real hassle, and unnecessary.

If you blocked someone, there's no reason to see their content. That's why you blocked them. And if they blocked you, also no reason for you to see them, they don't want you to.

I'd love it if things worked that way! The way the blocking works irritates me so much sometimes since -- aside from instances like this where I spent a long time on a post only to find I got blocked before I could make it -- there have been other times where people other than the Asker replied to my post and even asked me a question about my answer. Then I could not reply back to them because the Asker blocked me. If the Asker simply can't see what I write, I think that would be a much less infuriating option; I'd at least still be able to communicate with other users.

Another good point. Thanks for MHO, and I agree your version of her looks better than the original photo, maybe that made her mad lol? Oh I just thought of another possibility, she might have been upset you took her content and worked it without her permission? It may have freaked her out "some guy off the internet" downloaded her photo and was photoshopping it "in his mom's basement" XD

Oh, that could be a possibility! It's tough to guess since she didn't say anything. Perhaps it was intrusive of me to offer an edited possibility, although I didn't get to post it before I got blocked. It's something I'm used to doing in art critiques from when I was studying visual arts. Although if that's a concern, I think it'd be best to refrain from uploading pictures at all.

I agree with you. There is nothing more annoying than getting rejected after you put so much effort to get the best results. Sorry, that this has happened to you. To me as well but in a different situation.

You could demand compensation for suffering though. lol.

In fairness, she might have just wanted an A or B answer. I might have been intrusive saying I like A but I would like it better with some tweaks.
