Do you ever notice when you pick out a particular color, pattern or theme for your outfit, is it a reflection of your mood?

I know all is ladies at times will pick up a style or type of clothing if we want to feel sexy, but what about other times we maybe subconsciously selecting something because of how the morning or day has gone?

I have noticed in the past, not so much now. I do remember in middle school, I was that young, angsty teenager, so I wore all black, or wore clothing with band logos. It was rare that you caught me wearing anything “positive” like colorful shirts and whatnot. I always wore patternless, bland-colored clothing back then.

However, in the past year or so, I found that in my closet I still have a lot of patternless clothes, but I have more colors. I don’t subconsciously pick a color, pattern, or theme based on my mood, but I do it based on an event and what or how I will need to present myself, if that makes sense. I think the only patterns I have are just a handful of floral shirts, and a bunch of graphic tees, brand logos, and band shirts.

I probably have around 8 mustard yellow/gold colored shirts in different styles, 5 army green colored shirts, and 9 burgundy/maroon colored shirts. I don’t usually pick them based on my mood, but I recently realized that these 3 colors look amazing on me, and definitely reflect a “vibe” I guess lol. That's what my mom always says, she says that those colors give me a "cool, fall evening vibe…”

I guess if my mood is good, I might pick an outfit that makes me feel sexy. And if my mood is bad, I might just not care and throw on some old clothes.

Many things we do happens subconsciously, many mistakes happen because of subconscious decisions. If we strive for self-improvement at Buffer, being aware of the mistakes we naturally have in our thinking can make a big difference in avoiding them. It takes time effort l, and training (mindful meditation for example) to separate conscious, and unconscious decisions. But that helps to avoid mistakes and wrong decisions on many levels.

Mine are always subdued colors, mostly green and black.
So I guess my mood is pretty consistent
