What di you think it's better? I'm already itching to ditch the damn suit and tie and go in my usual uniform and boots.
Thank you all for your answers and comments, I wholeheartedly appreciate them!

I definitely like both. I personally like the western suit because that’s what I am used to, in America. Plus, I think I just like the contrasts of the suite and tie — Light colored button up and tie, with the dark colored suit. Very sleek and sexy.
However, I think the traditional uniform/suit looks more you. You look far more comfortable, well fitted, and confident in it. I also think it fits your style and personality, if that makes sense? Lol. It’s definitely a militaristic style suit/dress - It looks like one of my boyfriend’s dress uniforms. Very sleek and put together
Thank you for your in-depth answer, I thoroughly appreciated reading it!
You are right that the traditional uniform is more fitting, since it's custom made - and it has military qualities, since I usually wear it breeches and boots lol.
Here, those suits used to be the everyman's way of dress and that's why I like them - they are the epitome of the farmer-soldier. Also, its both modest and elegant, and not as glamour as the western suits, in my opinion.
You are very welcome.
I do agree, it is very modest and elegant. I like both of those styles.
Again, Western suits are the norm here so I think that’s why I prefer them lol, but I still like they both. Both are classy in their own sense.
Be yourself. If you go under false pretenses, it will be tough to maintain.
The first one makes you look like a military general, it's badass, especially if you wore one of those hats. I wear a winter jacket that's too big cause it makes me feel like a world leader lol
Thank you! You are right, militaristic clothing is the best.
How about ''Traditional Christian''?

I suggest: wear something that is ''you''.
There's no point in getting a job that makes you act like someone you are not.
@Vendela exactly, the interview was a meet and greet with the new prefect and exchange the credentials. It's something that happens every time they change the prefect for the province, she/he has to meet every mayor of the province.
Honestly @Sun_Kim-Ai it sounds like you've already got it made, you can wear anything you want and I don't think it's going to affect your job.
@Vendela true, but it's still a minefield sometimes, and there's always someone who criticizes or tries to undermine me.
And the clothing is under scrutiny too, this is a translation of a comment a kind lady left under an article of 25th April.
"Showing off in a North Korean outfit is truly embarrassing. Because before being a man he represented a role that required a certain decorum. I am not so formal but in front of a mayor like that I feel like crying. The dress does not make the monk but a minimum decorum for those in a public role seems to me the minimum."
Oops - I was under the impression that it's a job interview :)
After reading the comments...
If criticizing is your normality, then just expect it and be prepared.
If you can be 'undermined', the you're perhaps the wrong man for the position?
To additionally follow dress-code pressure from others will look like some kind of ''weakness'' or ''submission''. That does not build up your authority or your credibility, does it.
And I'd also say that wearing something that isn't you normal ''you'' will show up in your body language and 'behaviour' - a bit of discomfort and un-easiness, perhaps?

I feel like the Western suit looks more attractive and more formal
The first one is more formal in my opinion, just not to westerners maybe. I'd say the first bc that's what you like.
I feel both looks perfect and formal , but since a perticular dress code is recommended for a formal interview , its good to wear the suit.
Traditional dress is a suit
True, but not the right one for some people. For them, it's a paramilitary uniform.
Traditional looks more you than the suit does.
True! I almost can't recognize myself without lol
I think the western suit looks REALLY good on you, man! I would definitely go with that one. Hands down.
Western suit looks better in my opinion
Prefect? WTF?
It's the person that heads a prefecture or a province in my country.
