Don't get me wrong, I believe in freedom of speech. As a black man, I would like to know exactly how you think so I know where we stand, instead of towing the line and saying carefully constructed crap, then gaslighting people that you are not racist. However, that doesn't mean there will not be any consequences to what you say. Remember, freedom of speech protects you from the government, not the people. I do not condone violence, and I certainly do not react that way (unless in extreme scenarios) bur you have to remember that not everyone reacts the same way, and there WILL be people attacking you physically, regardless of whether or not they will be arrested as a result.

For every action, there's a reaction. If a dude punches you in the face, they will take the punishment as a man and do the time. If you provoke someone, expect retaliation even if it does not escalate. You cannot expect people to accept your behavior, without you accepting theirs. Be a man and take it on the chin, or fight back. Don't be a punk who provokes people, then plays victim when he gets jumped for saying some racist stuff.

The education system is flawed, and the drop-out rate from schools in black neighborhoods is high, the college graduation rate is low (around 19%) and there are less people around who carry degrees to work a 9-5. Who's fault is it? Yes there are lazy people who don't wanna study, but most people don't have access to decent schools, some of them are missing books. Go read about it yourself. Poorly funded schools and universities don't provide doctors, engineers and lawyers so you either work a blue collar job, or become a criminal. This is for those who are poor, unless you get a great GPA in an underfunded school and get a shit ton of debt to pay for a decent out of state uni that you back for the next 3 decades, that is if you get a job after you graduate.

@grega239 Me personally, I propose education. However, a lot of people who oppose that idea will call it "indoctrination" and "teaching kids to hate white people" which is completely ridiculous. Learning historical facts doesn't mean you have to hate the modern day people who descend from the perpetrators because of what their ancestors did, it rather creates a map of what NOT to do and from there onwards we can figure out what to do.

When it comes to education, we teach the real history without ANY sugarcoating, in a way that is more informative and less focused on "guilt" or "duty" if that makes sense. If you already know what happened, you will know what to do. The good, the bad and the ugly. The details of what the slave owners to the slaves, the tribes who sent their rival captures into slavery, the separation of families and the events that followed in the 20th century, and how they affect today's demographic. We talk about both internal (within the community) and external problems (to do with white people) that have contributed to where we are today. People will say that the problems are either external (only to do with outside influences) or only internal (only Black people's fault) but the reality is a mix of the two, and that will have to be addressed. When you learn history and context, you have a better understanding of why things are the way they are and you can therefore predict brainstorm on how to get rid of the deep rooted issues that exist and not just the symptoms. You cannot put a bandage on an infected wound.
