I mean, I understand why larger breasts may be seen as more attractive, because the body would have had to work harder in order to produce them, and so this is a sign of good health. But why isn't an extra large nose and jawline on a woman also taken as a sign of good genes, based on that same implicit assumption that the body would have had to have been healthy enough to work extra hard to produce those extra large features?
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yAttraction is complicated in the past women with large breasts and wide hips and such were seen as attractive due to it suggesting health, fertility and the ability to give birth well. i think this also has a bit to do with biology but not 100% but it would make logical sense. Then you have the modern day which is always being inflicted by other sources and you've had things change over the centuries from curvy women to thin it just seems to change much like fashion as what the normal attractive body is. But then you have the individualness of each person who are attracted to other things outside of what is the current "fashion". Such as liking small breasts and not large. But the features as you mention it doesn't necessarily suggest health but just suggests a more rugged build maybe hardier or something along those lines if you account for descriptions given of people with those traits. It's just a very complex matter that is made worse by this constant aspect of society.
I hope what I've said makes sense and does answer the question. Also I really hope that my wording hasn't caused offence as I know this subject is a delicate one and I am sorry if I have unintentionally do so.44 Reply

+1 yI think large noses are attractive. I'm not sure about jawlines but I think maybe they could be attractive?
I think Nasim Pedrad from SNL is very hot, and she has a big nose:

I have definitely seen a fair number of women with large noses that I think are attractive. I did a quick search of "large jawline woman" images and plenty of beautiful women popped up including this one:

who then reminded me of one of my celebrity crushes, "Dolores" from "Westworld". I don't know, do you think she has a strong/large jawline? I don't know, but she's very attractive:

On an average, they are not.

@Bethany22 do you mean the jaw is dropped down further? I don't really know what is meant by a "large jaw" so like I said I just googled it and that woman is an example of one of many that came up looking similar.
I personally don't believe that large breasts are necessarily or automatically attractive. I think in the case of large noses and jawlines, they can be (not always) unattractive because they are out of proportion with the rest of the face. It isn't that that feature itself is unattractive, it's that the when it's out of proportion to the rest of the face everything looks off. That can happen to a certain extent with large breasts but often much less so, and clever use of bras and clothing can minimize the out of proportion look that large breasts can provide.

+1 yYou missed the mark on why larger breasts are more attractive. Breasts are a sign of sexual maturity, and larger breasts suggest that a woman is capable of bearing and sustaining one or more hungry infants. It’s evolutionary biology. Neither noses nor jawlines carry similar implications to my knowledge.
20 ReplyI think larger breasts are viewed as more attractive because there are various things you can do with them, while on the other hand larger facial features aren't usually seen as larger surface area to touch and kiss, for example. I suppose if a lady liked to be touched on her jaw and nose it could attract more attention, but as it is I don't think many men or women think there is that much to do with the face during time together.

+1 yBreasts are soft tissue, noses are hard cartilage, and jawlines are hard bone.
It's always nicer to touch and caress something soft, not hard... well, there is one exception. 😎

+1 yI must disagree, I have never found large breasts attractive, and a square jaw is often very attractive on a woman.
One woman that I have always been extremely attracted to (in my area) has a squarish jaw and she is quite "feminine" (maybe too much so) and incredibly attractive.

I’ve always found big breasts extremely hot on women. A rugged jawline and rugged body make women unattractive.
+1 yLarge noses and jawline on women are NOT usually associated with sexual reproduction as opposed to breasts large or small. My eyes are drawn automatically to women's large breasts, but NOT to their large noses or jawlines! I find large breasts sexually stimulating like most men and some women.

Yes, maybe, but jawline and noses are NOT sexually stimulating to me, and probably not most people. They may be cute however!

High face-fats are considered a non-threatening feature. Because of this, they are considered feminine traits.

Feminine maybe. Sexual? Nope!
I dont think larger boobs are attractive either they're real and hang down to the waist or they're fake and look like balloons either way its a bad turn off for me
Small tits that are nice and firm looking like round pyramids ever when girl is standing are way sexier than big boobs

+1 yI don't know, some thinks large breasts are attractive but others prefer smaller? It’s just preferences. I think my nose is big, but my exes and current partner thinks it’s cute and small. Beauty is really just in the eye of the beholder
10 Reply574 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. I personally find a woman's beauty desirable as part of her total personality. in my opinion, a woman's breasts are beautiful, no matter what the size (OK, one exception, unusually large breasts that have been artificially augmented are not attractive). As far as other features are concerned, they can be large or small in my opinion and it does not matter because they are part of who she is and that always is the source of attraction (or not) for me. Not individual features.

+1 yThat's false assumption. It's all attractive depending upon the observer.
Of what I've studied of how our minds work, it all depends upon what we emotions we develop within our culture/environment.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yActually, the only outward sign of a woman ovulating is her breasts swell. So the assumption is that a woman with larger breasts are in estrus and are likely to produce offspring if you have sex with her.
10 ReplyLarge breasts aren’t attractive. It’s all about ass. If anything, smaller breasts are considered more attractive because then it puts more emphasis on the ass

00 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. I don’t consciously think a woman’s nose makes her unattractive. As a community of humans we seem to have a base level attractiveness and it includes many large noses and jaws. Science says it’s evenness of the face right?
