What happened to Victorias Secret not as good anymore?

When I first moved to USA I loved going to the mall especially the Victorias Secret!! To all my girls in their 30s-40s isn’t it not nearly as good anymore? It used to have soo much better selection/merchandise.

I used to shop at Victoria's Secret in LA. There is more than one store there, of course. You know what was their most popular section, the section that actually made the most sales? "Pink." Not named after the singer, no. "Pink" because it's the loungewear section. Cause everyone wears sweats at home now. And out.

Their bras and lingerie is beautiful. Beautifully designed TO LOOK AT. Not to wear. How do I know?

Cause one day, I laid out all my lacy, colourful, pretty underwire bras, and I cut the underwire out of them. Because it was driving me nuts, so uncomfortable. And what did I find? Victoria's Secret used the thickest gauge wire. And longest. It is more rigid, and goes farther up into the top of the bra, toward your chest and neck. It was the thickest of several specialty lingerie brands. It was so uncomfortable, I threw all their wires out. This was several years ago. Every other bra had less thick gauge wire.

Conclusion: Victoria's Secret was designing bras to be looked at, but not to be worn for long. I think women rejected it for that reason. And their stuff is overpriced for what it is. And people want to be comfortable when they're at home, especially, so the stuff that was selling was their loungewear and sleepwear. And dating is in the toilet now. So women aren't dressing up as much for men.

Not at all. Neither their bras or panties. I still wear the Lacey thing and the cotton v string and bikinis I have some Lacey hip huggers too but the cotton doesn’t last more than a few months. My bombshell bras have held up but I rarely wear them

They really DID commit "Market Suicide". In fairness to large women, there already IS a store that caters to them and had cornered that market, named Lane Bryant. For Victoria's Secret to chuck their traditional customer base in a fit of madness was mind boggling, and even their successful "Pink" line of casual wear (non-lingerie) for the young ladies has not taken up the slack.

Listen. The truth is the truth. But all women want a tall, muscular, handsome man. Do you see “body positivity” for men? No. Why? Because we’re more honest with ourselves. Big women wonder WHY, the men they want don’t want them. It’s because they rather be with a woman that takes care of herself and will live a longer life thus being by his side longer. Quality has gone down a lot. My ex bought lace thongs when we were dating and after the first wash the lace tore.

Now she wears aerie, adore me, and lounge.
