I just ordered this, but do I wear as it is, or take the top block off? I see there is a small closure on the circle beneath the block.

I am thinking the chain will go through the square part to keep the 'P' straight on your neckline. Seems to me you would buy whatever necklace chain you fancy and put it through the square part.
I don't believe that the top block is meant to come off. You could get someone with the right tools to cut the circular part attached to the block of the pendant. Maybe even a jeweler would be able to do that for you.
I don't know that it is worth it as it is obviously designed to have both pieces attached. Why do you want the top block off?
I don't think so at all. I think because of how it is zoomed in and enlarged to show the detail is why you might think that. I would wait until you get it and then make the call.
Like I mention, a local jeweler should be able to remove that top part if you don't like it.
Ah, yeah I can see your concern. So, I had this brass/gold bracelet. Hard to describe but two gold bracelet bands and one brass. They were all loose but interconnected.
After a while the harder gold metal wore at the brass part. It also tarnishes much easier. You might be best having it removed. From the pic, I couldn't tell that was brass.
The gold didn’t wear, it was the brass and I would say probably after 10+ uses of the item I saw wear from rubbing one metal on a softer one.
Does it look nice though?
Don't you hate that when you can't tell from the picture and get something totally different than expected?
That is a good idea using it on a bracelet though. 👍
CHLOE... Our three month old daughter has that very name!
Take a close look at this equivalent Chloé pendant for the letter B:

If you look closely at the top block, it's hollow so you can thread a necklace through it. Your P pendant should be the same.
On my Chromebook, I right-clicked on your image and selected "Search image with Google". That automatically invokes Google Lens.
It identified:
Chloe Alphabet P Pendant Women's
Next to it is a Google logo with Search.
I clicked that and this webpage appeared:
www.google.com/.../...rce=.lens.button&hl=en&gl=US
Among the 3 "B pendant" images on the right, that image that I uploaded, was in the middle.
I clicked on it.
A new page appears with those images with that particular image displayed large.
I then right-clicked on it and selected "Open image in new tab." which took me to this URL which has the image in 1000x1500:

Neck Choker hanging. Image search choker and pendant.
