I think we outta start having our soldiers wear scientifically developed good armor plating and also laser guns and laser cannon tanks.
And the armor could be made lighter and less heavy so they can run around and move around fast.

Armor doesn't stop bullets. Bulletproof vests do, but those are handgun bullets, at handgun speeds; rifles don't mess around like they do. Modern military armor does a decent job at slowing even rifle bullets down- but that's more "you're injured and in need of medical treatment instead of dying instantly", not "you're slightly bruised, but okay". That scene in Back to the Future was very inaccurate; all that vest would've done for Doc Brown was to keep his mangled and very dead body in mostly one piece. A high-caliber or sufficiently fast bullet is still going to kill you on the spot- and heavy armor, in any case, is going to slow you down; sometimes it's better to lose the protection and just not be seen. Lighter armor means less protection.
As to laser weapons: energy, my man. Modern industrial lasers aren't tools; they're byproducts- a modern emitter is basically a blast furnace with what you think of as a laser attached. And a military laser would be a scaled-up version of that; portability is a SERIOUS issue. As it heat, come to think of it. They're also extremely loud; unless every soldier is carrying around a portable fusion reactor, it ain't happening. And if they ARE carrying around fusion reactors, it's STILL a bad idea, because one stray bullet could blow up your entire squad.
the tech has to be worked on sure but it could happen
and there's not one type of armor. notice how I sad high tech armor.
it may not be possile righ tnow, but in the future it could. we dont stand a chance against the other guys with better tech developing.
you could experiment in small doses first, and as you go into the future, create more spaces for these weapons.
there's also more unique weaons to create as well. i have more ideas than just laser guns. there is some marvel and dc superheroes, antiheroes, antivillains, villains with possible gadgets we could emulate in real life. Shocker, Prowler, Vulture, Iron Man, Iron Heart, black panther, war machine
do u even know wtf you're talking about? do you know why the armor plates have nij ratings?
@NamerOfStars do you even know wtf you're talking about? there's a reason armor has nij ratings
@Batsy01010101 Very much so- but I also didn't sleep through math class.
well if you did you wouldn't be giving that answer
guess you never heard of binary code either
@Batsy01010101 No; that's WHY I gave that answer.
At first it should only be a few people with these abilities or powers
soldiers do have armor the same kind i have and different types as well. they range from level ii and level iiia soft armor to level iii level iii+ level iv and level iii level iii+ can be both steel ar500 steel or ar600 steel or even ar1000 steel or polyethylene (?) some composite type ceramic type crap which can withstand 5.56 M855 m193 for the level iii and m193 win.223 win.308 for the level iii+ the level iv can withstand 30.06 but keep in mind the level iii and level iv are nij certified and level iii+ isn't a true nij certification. the steel can withstand more then the composite crap or ceramic crap and if that ceramic crap or composite crap gets dropped on the ground it breaks and rendered useless. also the steel tends to weigh more then the ceramic or composite crap. also it depends on where each bullet hits the armor and how close in proximity each bullet can be to not weaken the structural integrity of the armor plates and to still be effective. also some armor is and isn't green tipped qualified and some can withstand rifle shots others can't depending on the nij rating. also it depends on the velocity and distance from which the bullet is traveling to the target or in this case the armor and how much it can withstand. the shorter the distance the faster the bullet the harder it will be for the armor to stop it. whereas conversely the further the distance the slower the velocity will be and the armor will be able to stop it more effectively. also when the bullet travels through the air you have to take into consideration wind resistance and the speed of the wind (wind velocity). most paramedics and some cops use level iiia and even level ii soft armor
the military uses level iii level iii and even level iv and depending on the mission they can even use swimmer plates which are also nij certified depending on the level. the swimmer plates allow for navy and military personnel to be in the water without having their armor get damaged. also with the body armor it depends on how many coats of protection are on the plates how heavily coated the plates are if it's 20mm or 40mm or 60mm or 80mm of protective coating to prevent any ricocheting of steel or polyethylene or ceramics from entering the person's body. also depends on the style of the body armor the type of curves and cut you want or if you want flat plating or curved. also you have to consider if you need side plates and how thick you want your trauma pads to be and the type of plate carrier you want and if you need a cummerbund and the type of material your plate carrier will be if it's 500d D500 or D1000 (?) if it will have mesh inside for breathing room
the soft armor level ii and level iiia can stop most hand guns. level iiia can stop.44 magnum and lower level ii can stop.9mm and a.357 but nothing above that. also as stated before it depends on the distance and velocity of the bullet.
also you have to take into consideration the type of bullet being used. for example a 12 gauge can shoot 000 bird shots and 00 buck shots slugs armor piercing slugs and a 10 gauge can shoot even harder and with more power then a 12 gauge and an 18 gauge is weaker than a 12 gauge or 10 gauge.
level iv can only take 1 or 2 shots of the maximum caliber rating before becoming inoperable also depending on how far away each hole in the armor was to each other. if each hole is to close to each other then the armor is useless at that point.
also the plate carriers can have attachments for water dispense when out in the desert missions or training or extra velco attachments used to hold extra magazines or knives or guns. not all plate carriers will be made of kevlar and kevlar itself isn't bullet proof maybe slightly bullet resistant but that's all. you still need the armor to be bullet proof. and it's very important to know the nij ratings and what each one is capable of. if it's for basic home defense a level iiia to a level iii+ should be fine. if it's for military level iii to level iii+ to level iv and swimmer plates and possibly side plates if possible. if it's for police or emt workers then level iiia should be fine. swat team level iii to level iii+ and possibly level iv. again the type of gun the type of rounds in the gun the caliber the speed distance size of the bullet all factor into the equation.
as far as the whole laser gun is concerned it's called stun guns and tasers it's the closest thing so far to having real life laser guns
when a piece of armor plate stops a bullet, the bullet gets stuck or trapped in the armor plate hence the holes in the armor plate.

First off, we do have armor. Second, if you want to be innovative and develop this technology for our use here in the US, where are you going to get the funding and researchers to make this a reality?
I wasn't trying to be rude I hopei t didn't come off that way. And I think there does have to be some different distrubitions to make it possible, contributions to science and military but also defunding other things in the military and in schools put you gotta put money in schools though to make things better so I have a complex setup on how I wanna distribute the money im a distributist but I also think capitalism is the best effective proven way to do a system if you follow me I can explain it more I have autism and adhd and its kinda overhwelmign for me to all explain it like this if you rpivate mssage me we can talk about it more
I dont want TOO much money in any thing. I'm not a die hard capitalist, I do think other things need to be explored and im libertarian and liberal on many social issues and an activist for human rights.
You are a fucking idiot if you don't know kevlar body armour is a part of standard kit.
Warm weather conditions make body armour horrible to wear.
ehh not all body armor comes with kevlar. sometimes the carrier itself is made of kevlar but not always
Bullet proof vests. Not functional in today's military.
My ideas above can become a reality. I know we have the science, but bad guys won't let us be as strong as we could be.
@guy13 do you know why the armor plates have nij ratings or why some military like the navy or navy seals use swimmer plates?
Sure. That would mean higher taxes. Cool?
Id be working on other problems at the same time. there's a lot of crap goin on
