There’s a girl in my social circle who has excessive lip filler. I think she’s ugly in real life but everyone else thinks she’s gorgeous?

i know this girl whose Instagram photos are perfect and her face looks proportionate in them but in real life her lip filler makes her lips HUGE and I just don’t think she’s that pretty. I’m not jealous of her since I wouldn’t want to look like that, I think natural is better, but my friends bring her up in conversations and they go on about how beautiful she is. Do you guys think natural lips or lip filler look good? Am I just crazy or do we have different taste in what’s considered attractive?

You're not in the wrong here. I laugh whenever I see these kinds of girls in person. Those lips look even more ridiculous in real life than online. I've seen a few of them around, especially in larger cities. Looks awful.

As for people saying "you're just jealous", I cannot stand that rebuttal. Not liking someone doesn't mean the person is "jealous" every single time. Sometimes there is a good reason.

I feel like they just want attention from everyone whether it’s good or bad. I don't know I just don’t understand why natural beauty isn’t more popular.

I have a theory that’s probably right - a lot of these women use flattery to gain followers and attention. The girl I mentioned earlier like overcompliments and love bombs people she first meets. To make you feel special and in turn entranced with her.
I thought she wanted to be friends becuase she also asked to meet for coffee once and then kept flaking and ‘forgetting.’
