It’s something you'd wear on a nightclub. Can't you find a beautiful prom long gown/dress like this one?

I think it looks sexy. Just not for a prom looks like a dress you'd wear to a club not a prom. Shows too much belly maybe if you're bellybutton was covered it might be OK

  Prom to me means formal wear, that dress seems to be on the casual-side rather than formal. Don't get me wrong, it's nice and looks good on you.
  
  I could also be totally out of touch as to what young men and women are wearing to prom these days...
