If I do need to wear men's underwear, it'll be knitted boxers. They allow the boys full freedom.
If I'm feeling naughty, I like women's lace G-strings. You can get something similar in men's with a pouch for a guy's junk, but I like the feeling of the women's flat panel smashing my junk flat against my belly, and also having the tiny string crawling its way into my asscrack. Once it digs its way in, I'll pull it back out so it can start its journey inward all over again. It's deliciously uncomfortable.

As little as I can get away with. I buy from Jockey, and get their classic bikini brief, anything more seems 'bulky', 'heavy' really more than I need. Same with exercise socks, when I run never wear traditional socks... Why... when they are down around the ankles after running. the same with underwear?

I'm a briefs guy. They're the most comfortable, they provide the best support, the separate your scrotum from your thighs, they don't have extra fabric to ride up, and they look the best in my opinion.

When I need support like when it’s hot or I’m gonna be moving a lot I wear briefs. No stickieness and danging around.
when I want a bit of a change I’ll wear boxer briefs
other times I wear boxers.
