Normally, I wear a plum or even purple eye shadow because I have hazel eyes. My friend suggested that a light green with beige in the creases could work for a summer time look. She said that she thought that would make my eyes pop. I had never considered wearing a green since my eyes are hazel. What do you think? Would it work or would plums be better?

You should always go with a colour that compliments your eyes. This means for hazel you are good with neutrals and if you have the beautiful green flecks usually found in hazel you can wear some green shades too. What I will say is don't mix your tones ie. you can go for a green but in the crease go for a brown which will also compliment the hazel. Otherwise a darker green in the crease. You nude with a brown in the crease will also look good but remember in summer a sunkissed vibe is better than a heavy lid. Those who have beautiful eyes should emphasise them naturally so they pop. Heavy lidded eye makeup wearers tend to have unremarkable / common coloured eyes (unless its for an evening / glam look not required in summer days!)
