Fashion right now isn't "sustainable". Fast fashion is the norm and is far from a sustainable practice. People, especially women, just throw stuff out because it isn't "in" anymore. As well, the fabrics folks wear aren't natural and are awful for the earth.
I'm part of the vintage and historical fashion crowd so a lot of what we wear has been handed down from earlier decades. It's sustainable and much better than "fast fashion". All of my pieces are natural fabrics like wool and linen. One of my favourite coats is a wool coat from the 1940s. It looks brand new because it was made well and the maker had reusability in mind. Much bette quality than these modern puffer coats made of plastics that people just throw out when it falls apart (which happens fast).
