I don't really wear any jewelry. Although, I have worn a necklace in that past. This one, which I still have. It's a "white blaze" Appalachian Trail necklace...

@mementomori777 It doesn't hold any spiritual meaning or anything. The cutout in the middle of the medallion is called a "white blaze". On the Appalachian Trail (the A. T.), a white blaze is a 6" x 2" stripe that is painted on trees, rocks and posts along the side of the trail to notify hikers that you are on the Appalachian Trail proper, and not off-trail, or that you've hiked off onto another side trail. White blazes are just one of those things that are synonymous with hiking on the A. T., and is a symbol that is fondly admired by hikers of the trail.

I bought my necklace in 2011 before I was set to hike the entire Appalachian Trail in 2012 (2,180 miles at that time), but sadly, I had to cancel the trip at the very last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. One day!

As I mentioned though, the necklace doesn't hold any spiritual meaning per se, but it can hold a lot of meaning to people who love the A. T. and hiking in general. Essentially, it holds meaning in a way that the wearer personally applies to it.

I used to wear HEAPS of jewellery as a teenager but, as I grew older and became a woman, I wear minimal jewellery (I. e. Simple earrings, a necklace and a bracelet). Less is more for sure 😃
