What's the smallest bra band size and the largest bra cup size?

I really don’t know but it’s amazing to know how many people wear the wrong size because they believe they “look” like a certain cup size. I never really knew my bra size until a couple of months ago by measuring. It’s especially difficult because my bahoongas are asymmetrical in size. So until recently, I would just wear generic ones that were sized “medium” without any kind of underwire. I guess I figured I was a 34B or a bit bigger. Turns out I’m a 30DD. When I told my boyfriend he was like, “your boobs are huge!” It sounds silly but it kind of hurt hearing that, like my boobs definitely exist but it’s weird that he never called them “huge” until I told him the bra size, though he’s seen them pretty much every day for a long while. Very confusing system and I honestly don’t know how it works.

Smallest cup size is AA biggest is usually H but you can get specialized larger.

Cup sizes are the difference between the band size under the chest and the cup size. So an A cup can look very different from person to person. Like A Cup is 10-12 cm difference I think. So a woman with 70 cm under chest and 81 over chest is an A Cup and so is the woman with 65 cm under chest and 75 cm over chest.

So to answer your question it is usually AA-H

Woah, an A cup is a 1 inch different. 10-12 cm is more like D/DD! Someone with a 70cm underbust and 81 bust is more like a 28D and someone with a 65cm underbust and 75cm bust is more like a 26D.

Also, I asked about smallest band size though, not smallest cup size!

Do you know how bra sizes work? Each inch of difference is another cup size.

A = 1 inch
B = 2 inch
C = 3 inch
D = 4 inch
DD = 5 inch
DDD = 6 inch

and so on!

No we aren't because you said 10-12cm is an A cup. In inches that is roughly 4 to 5 inches which is a D/DD cup.

A cup is up to about 10-12 cm difference compared to band size and after that it continues with 1 inch/size.

Or 8 cm this chart says so then 10 cm is B cup. But first step is about that difference then it continues 1 inch.

The link you just sent me is to an inaccurate bra size chart.

You need to do more research.

Bra size is calculated from the underbust and bust measurements.

To get your underbust measurement you measure around your underbust and if it's an even number like 28, it stays the same, if it's an odd number like 31, it rounds to the next even number which is 32.

Then you measure your bust and you subtract the underbust from the bust.

So if your underbust is 28 and your bust is 34, that's a 6 inch difference which is a DDD cup (E in UK sizing) and you are therefore a 28DDD.

Trust me - you REALLY need to do more research. I've been studying this and helping women for years.

Lol I dont evan where bra's. I just wear sport bras. I through the bras out years ago. Also been measure by proffesional who explained what I said.. so you'll need to talk to workers in stores too then

I'm not concerned with whether you wear them or not. Unfortunately, most 'professionals' are wrong about all this too. They are just there to make money. Talking to them is one of the worst things you can do (except for a few who know their stuff- but most don't). I highly recommend spending a few hours browsing the abrathatfits community for accurate info.

28 is the smallest available band size. AAA is the smallest cup size but is not widely available. It is smaller than AA, which is smaller than A. Makes me wonder what's the point.
I think the largest commercially available cup size is N.

Is that correct? I depend on you for the facts on sizing.

28 and 30 are some of the smallest available band sizes but not the smallest. Many girls need 24 and 26 bands and I know some who need 22.

Regarding the cup sizes, I'd say that JJ/K is closer to the largest commercially available cup size (perhaps you meant that, because N in US sizing is close to JJ/K in UK sizing which is what I go by) but yes like you said, lots of people need cup sizes bigger than that, such as N (UK) and above.

That's just what I read. They probably try to sell 28 to girls with 24" rib measurements.

Are those smaller band sizes available in many outlets or are they specialty?
Larger custom cup sizes are available, too, right? I think I even heard of ZZZ.

32 is the smallest band.




And EEE is the largest. But I’m a guy, I could easily be wrong

Yup, you're wrong! 32 is actually a very average band size. Many people need 30, 28, 26 and even 24 bands.

EEE is also quite small. It's the sixth smallest cup size. Most 'large' busted people you see in the media are more like GG-H-HH and lots of people need bigger than HH too.

AA is the smallest I have ever seen, and from there they go up to whatever size you need. I have a friend that wears an M.
