Her rib measurement can't possibly be over 30" and is probably more like 28" or 29". An accurate bra size would be 30F.

I've heard of women whose bra band width is larger than their bust measurement.
This is why going by a woman's bra size is crazy and why people think D is large.

If she’s a model or actress sometimes she will be told to lie slightly about measurements and bra sizes so she will fit what more people are looking for. All those measurements are probably off slightly but you would get less work if you say you are a D cup + she’s clearly at least a G (8in difference in rib to bust measurement) in a properly fitted bra. So she’s from Spain when I lived in Spain I don’t remember anywhere selling bras bigger than a D.

It just drives me crazy that people think C is medium and D is large. And you're saying that, because of that, there is a stigma about cup sizes over C?

I saw one a while back where the actresses band width was 2" wider than her bust measurement. She had good measurements. I think her bust was 36 but her bra was listed as 38B or something when I figured that it should have been more like a 30DDD.

When I see a female actor in a film and she has a nice figure, I sometimes look up her height and measurements out of curiosity. Bra sizes are always included in the information.
She was just the most recent one.
Without fail, I am always blown away by the nonsensical bra sizes.

I don't know about bras anymore, I just grab a few different sizes try them on and if they fit then I go with it. But I'm wary of trying bras bigger than a D myself so who knows why models do it

It is rampant. Bra manufacturers using different standards, different measuring systems, different ways to calculate, then they change the same size year to year

Decades of misinformation. If something is done a certain way for so long, it's hard to change it.

I am fitted as a 32A in stores but I'm a 26E. But guess what, I can buy 26E nowhere and 32A everywhere, even though 26E is a way more common size than 32A (I've actually never seen anyone who looked to be an actual 32A).

Think about it, if most stores only carry the sizes A-DD, how is anyone supposed to know any different? With that range, the small chested girls think they have to be an A or B, the average girls think they must be C or max a D and the large chested girls think they are DD or have to shop elsewhere for bigger cups. In reality, the small chested people are in the C-D-DD-E-F bracket, the medium sized people are in the F-FF-G-GG-H bracket and the large chested people are usually G/GG/H/HH/J/JJ and above. A lot of those overlap because of course, perceptions of what's medium and what's large differ and also band size means that an F can appear small, medium or large depending on band size.

The only way things can ever change would be if EVERY woman found out their true band size - then stores would have to stock the sizes we need. But they have been getting away with stocking A-DD for years, fooling us into thinking these are the sizes we need.

Plastic surgery is another place for misinformation. You always see boob jobs where they're like, this person went from an A to a D cup! Usually they look more like a D/DD cup before that went to an FF/G cup. The idea that those surgeries only bring you 3 cup sizes up is crazy. People don't realize how little difference there is between cup sizes. Each cup size represents an inch. When spread across two boobs the difference between a D and DD for example is barely noticeable.

Typical bands are 2" smaller than bust measurements. But I've even seen examples of bands that are wider than a woman's bust measurement. I mean, WTH?

What I mean is, you see women with a 24" waist and a 34" bust wearing a 32B or C bra all the time.

I have a 25 inch underbust so my 32A bras were 7 inches too big in the band.
