Diamond are more costly than pearls

@annabananna it depends on the size of the diamonds and the quality of the diamonds, and the size, quality and if they are oriental or cultured pearls.
There are frozen spit diamonds that sell for around $100/carat.
There are gorgeous oriental pearls that cost thousands of dollars each. Depending on what you have will determine which one is more expensive.
There are just too many variables to make a blanket statement about that.

If you look at a high quality diamond the same size as a high quality pearl the diamond will still be more expensive.
