I find waxing too painful. I personally prefer a normal shave. I have to repeat it more often, but it doesn't hurt. I would recommend you to try it. But if you don't mind that and think you can bear the pain, you can do that too. And at 16 you're old enough to decide for yourself.

I don’t know what your pain tolerance is, but that can be an issue regardless of age.
