Yeah, definitely as a kid when I was trick-or-treating age. Best one was probably Indian Jones, probably in like third grade. My mom put together a whole get-up, made a fake whip for me to carry. I went to this Halloween party at some kind of place that included a costume contest, and I was BENT that I didn’t win and they gave it to some goof who just wore a Pee-Wee Herman tuxedo and cut his hair shirt with a little spiked up part in front. It was ok, by my costume was WAY more live than that. I’m getting mad all over again, lmao.

I think when I was around 21 or 22 I bought a pair of navy blue Dickies coveralls and a Friday The 13th hockey mask, and I just dressed up as Jason Voorhees every year for the rest of my 20s, haha. Around 30 or so, I got the idea to be Wooderson from Dazed & Confused. I found a replica of his Ted Nugent t-shirt online, I bought some khaki pants and dyed them fuchsia, and the best part was I bought a shaggy blonde wig and brought it to the guy who cuts my hair, and he cut it to look like Wooderson’s, I just had to roll the bottom up in curlers and hit them with a ton of hairspray, but it came it out great. That costume was a huge hit, especially since I can do a pretty solid impression of him and have seen the movie so many times I know even his most complex lines by heart.

I also came across a replica Cobra Kai gi online, very high quality, and it has a name patch that reads “Johnny.” I hadn’t seen How I Met Your Mother yet, but I assure you I’ve been trying to justify rooting for Johnny Lawrence since I was a kid😂

But yeah, I have the same wig I got for the Wooderson one, but left uncut, and I wear the head band, etc. It’s a good costume for me because I have some similar features to Johnny, I have blonde hair and a long nose like him, haha. Got a lot compliments on that one too. That’s probably what I’d wear if I had to dress up for something again. I still have the Wooderson stuff too, but I was already having to alter the “I get older, they stay the same age” line to “college girls” instead of “high school girls”, but sadly I got so old that even “college girls” would be creepy to say🤦‍♂️😂

When I was a kid, I always dressed up as Batman. Then, I started dressing up like a cowboy. Then, for the next couple of years, I dressed up as Gilligan. One year, I dressed up as Hawkeye from the TV sitcom M*A*S*H. Then and again this year, I’ll be dressed as Elvis Presley.
