probably not. he success is rooted in her talent, work ethic and physical appearance.

but we could we could say this about any number of performers (britney spears, jessica simpson, nikki minaj, etc etc). they probably wouldn't be as successful or even in the business if they weren't as attractive as they were.

it doesn't mean they don't have talent and they clearly have to have a strong work ethic because without it even being attractive wouldn't be enough, but i think it's fair their physical appearance has contributed to their success

you can't be serious. nikki minaj made a career out of twerking and inflating her ass. britney spears first song was called "hit me baby one more time" and involved her dancing around a school in a plaid mini skirt. beyonce probably sells sex less. she has more talent than nikki minaj or britney spears.

but i do acknowledge her success is greatly bolstered by her physical appearance.

i don't think the fact that minaj is a rapper changes that she uses sex to sell herself. just google photos of britney spears. she had a song called 'i'm a slave for you' and no it didn't refer to picking cotton. beyonce is more talented than both but does use her appearance to sell herself. i'd put beyonce in a similar category as jessica simpson. both have tons of actual vocal talent but both use their assets to increase their popularity.

i just said it's the same scenario for many other performers and in particular women. probably similar with men although to a lesser extent

you can have an abundance of talent and that can help make you a success (see amy winehouse, janis joplin, carole king, pat benatar) OR you can have abundance of physical attraction which can help your success (as we've discussed). sometimes you get a mix of both (see christina aguillera) who have an abundance of talent but also use their physical appearance to make them more successful. my point is beyonce is not alone in finding and using her appearance to increase her success
