I like a light blue color but when I get sweaty on the balls and butt the sweat tends to get seen I wore my jammers on the cruise boat all day in the heat and was sweating through them out of the water and a light color tends to show your junk more as for the fabric 90% polyester and 10% spandex is not going to go see through as for a 100% spandex one they come with a mesh pannel in the balls area because when spandex is wet it goes see through both are great for exercise racing and just casual swim wear in my opinion as for style there is a jammer skin tight knee length short then there is a speedo witch are like a bikini for men or tighty whiteys I don’t wear those because I can’t hide a boner in them and last is the square leg speedo it is shorter then a jammer longer then a speedo about mid thigh length I love this one for swimming laps in the pool my girlfriend loves it when I wear them to swim laps and loves it when I wear my jammers swimming in public pools or other places she thinks that the speedo looks gross on me and that I am hotter in the jammer and square leg
