What kind of heels to wear at a birthday party in the house?

I Don’t really want to wear heels so is sandals okay? Like a nice fashionable one. Or would that look odd with the dress?

If you dont want to wear heels than dont, easy as that. If you have great sandal alternatives go for it, they probably fit as much as heels would. I am not an enemy of heels. I like them and I can wear them for fitting occassions.
What I do hate is that sometimes women are expected to do so as its the 'fashionable' choice. Reason more not to wear them actually.

I wouldn't go for heels if the party took place in a house. I wanted to be comfortable and sometimes sit in the ground to chill. Flats are better. I would say sneakers or loafers.
