I don't have a skincare routine but I regularly wash my face.
Back when I was a teenager, with acne, I washed my face several times a day, to keep the pores clean.

Sure, I do that in the shower with Ivory aloe soap. It smells nice and lathers better than regular Ivory soap.
My face gets mighty oily mighty fast.
