I don't have any piercings, but one of my bestie's friends gave me earrings so I might get my ears pierced and deal with the very small amount of pain it brings. But I know people have said as long as it's a professional doing it and not using the piercing gun, they'll make sure they get cleaned/disinfected and that I'm happy with it.

4gag in both earlobes, 3 cartridge in each ear, septum, left nostril, tongue, belly button, nipples. had my left eyebrow, and both sides of lower lip but took them out.
