Girls, (GenX women) what is the best kind of 80’a prom dress to wear if you have large upper arms?

My boyfriend and I were both born in the 80’s (I was born in 1985, and he was born 1982). We neither one went to our high school prom and we found out that there is an adult 80’s themed prom being held at at a venue nearby. We thought it would be fun to go together. My boyfriend bought an 80’s tux and I was looking for a cute 80’s prom dress. The problem is I have a normal size frame but I have big upper arms. All of the dresses that I have seen look like they would fit me just fine body wise, but the sleeves are so skinny that I know they wouldn’t fit. Any suggestions on other types of dresses that might accommodate my larger arms and would still look nice? Thanks!
