Honestly bro, both styles can definitely be hot in their own way depending on the situation. But if I had to pick, I kinda think short skirts win out. Here's why:

Short skirts definitely show more leg, which is always a plus in my book. Seeing a girl's thigh and calves is just easier on the eyes, ya feel me? Gets the imagination going too.

Plus when it's hot out, long skirts just seem way more covering and stuffy. A short skirt lets some skin breathe and shows off a tan if a girl's been at the beach a lot. So it seems cooler style-wise too.

Not saying long skirts can't look good - they can be pretty elegant. But elegance only goes so far when you're tryna turn heads. A tight miniskirt does that way better, draws attention where ya want it.

Plus short skirts are just fun, youthful styles. Make a girl seem more outgoing and flirty. Long skirts can sometimes give off more serious vibes. Who wants serious when you're chilling?

So in the end, I think short skirts are the hottest look between the two. More appealing to guys for sure. But that's just my two cents!

I don't really like answering these sorts of questions. They're both pretty in their own way. And both are approp. for different occasions. Generally homecoming is meant for shorter dresses/skirts as it's not as formal as prom is. While prom is meant for longer, bigger dresses. I met a girl last night who was celebrating her birthday, that decided to go with the "barbie" theme, so, she wore this beautiful long pink dress, that literally made her look like a princess, she even wore a tiara
