Do you have any go to wardrobe staples?

I was talking with a friend, and we were discussing our go to wardrobe staples. I love, love, love wearing jeans and heels. Most wear flats or something even more casual with jeans, but I feel that I am little more dressed with heels. I like the look. Of course, I have a black tank and little black dress. What are you favorite wardrobe staples?

Yeah, I guess I kind of do.

Summertime is usually just khaki shorts (all kinds of colors, whatever coordinates best) and a t-shirt. I have a million sneakers, lmao, so I just color coordinate.

Spring and fall are the most fun because there’s the most versatility without having to cover up with a big winter coat, etc. I usually wear jeans or chinos (variety of colors/washes), and then up top it could be any number of staple looks. Light cardigan over a t-shirt; bomber jacket over a t-shirt; hoodie over a t-shirt; a crew-neck Champion sweatshirt (6th grade staple, so glad they’re back in style😂); a denim shirt or jacket over a Henley or waffle shirt. Or some days I do more of an “athleisure” thing, and I’ll wear a matching jogger sweatsuit, or I can go opposing top & bottom colors.

And the right shoes bring it all together. It totally depends on the outfit, but I have a lot of the “classic” styles of sneakers, like Air Force 1s (or Court Visions, I’m not too proud to rock those, lmao), the old nylon and suede Reeboks, Nike Cortez, suede Pumas, a whole bunch of other sneakers that kind of specifically match things, and then I also have Chukka boots, Chelsea boots, white buckskins from Brooks Brothers. Between all those, I’m ready for any situation or weather, and will look good.

My dad makes fun of me and calls me “Imelda Marcos”, who was the wife of an old dictator in the Philippines, who was famous for having THOUSANDS of shoes😂 I‘ve got a long way to go to catch up to her, haha, but I’m happy with my collection. And they last FOREVER when it’s not just the same pair of shoes you’re wearing every day. My suede Pumas are easily ten years old…. but they’re suede and royal blue, so I only wear them with a royal blue shirt in dry weather, and they still look great.

So, yeah, kind of more than a couple staples, but there are definitely a few particular “looks” I go for, and it just varies in color, etc.

I like the sound of that , sounds kool , and little different.

So climate dependent , its mostly super hot here , jeans and T- shirt / Polo top..

Or shorts and same , generally I match it..

If just me inside , its usually no shirt and basketball shorts , but remember basically always steamy , and I don't use AC.

I love wearing dresses. My wardrobe is full with them. Of course I have some favourites but I like changing things up. But most of them go in the mid-mini bodycon direction, and I like them to be colourful. Not necessarily with pattern, and I have the mandatory black ones too but generally just prefer brighter punchier colours.

And when it's a bit colder outside I prefer to wear leggings/yoga pants. Super comfy.

If it's cold out, i love leggings and uggs. Then I have so many different tops I can pare it with. Cold fashion is awesome because of all they layers you can do.

For summer I love short skirts and sun dresses. If I'm feeling confidant enough maybe mix a crop top with a cute skirt or maybe even shorts.

Jeans and heels are such a chic combo! I'm all about a classic blazer that can dress up any outfit, and a stylish pair of ankle boots is a must for me. I also love a simple white blouse, it goes with everything and never gets old. A quality leather jacket always adds a bit of edge to any look. And of course, I can't resist a cozy oversized sweater for those comfy, stylish days. Fashion magic! 😉
