How to get blond hair bright?

I have highlights and used to be a bright blond but now it looks like a dirty blond or light brown. I keep on telling my stylist I want it bright but it doesn’t help. Any advice?

Oh the eternal hair dilemma. I have just lightened my hair and made post and poll to see which color people thought was most flattering on me. I was not really happy with my hair. when I first got it done. You can see it in the first and only "My Take" that I have posted. It changed from black (with a few gray streaks) to the current color. I thought it was going to be a bit lighter. A girl on this site said that it was a good color because I could go a bit darker in the winter (low lights) and a bit lighter (in summer). This wasn't communicated to me when I got it done. Maybe that is what my stylist had in mind. Find a stylist that can make it like you want it. You are paying for it. If it doesn't work, then change stylists. Good luck!
