Can you wear boyshorts as shorts in public?

By boyshorts, do you mean the underwear? Those are the only piece of clothing that girls wear that are referred to as boy shorts. Maybe you mean something else since this is also open to guys to answer.

If you mean the underwear then no. I mean technically you can do it, but it would not be socially acceptable. At least not where I live. I certainly wouldn't do it. I would be really self concious in public. I don't think I could even just wear those around the house.

I get what you mean. I was more curious about whether people generally consider it acceptable for a guy to wear women’s boyshorts in public. I can understand why some people would feel uncomfortable with it, especially if they see them as underwear rather than shorts

I don't think it would be appropriate to wear underwear only in public no matter the type nor which gender is wearing them. Now if a guy wants to wear them under normal clothing, far be it from me to pass judgement. Though, I don't know as guys would find them comfortable. Maybe?

You technically *can*, but it really depends on the style and how much they cover. Many boyshorts are basically underwear: thin fabric, visible seams, and they cling a lot, so they’ll look like you forgot your pants 😂

If they’re thicker, not see-through, provide full coverage, and you style them with a longer top or oversized shirt, it’s more acceptable and can look like fitted bike shorts.
