Man, I love their confidence at their age and they look badass/good in leather and boots

I'm 18 years old, my girlfriend is also 18, though she's a few months older than me. But anyway, I'm asking this on her behalf, since she was curious about the topic but didn't have a G@G account or anything.

From what we heard a crop top is only supposed to be worn with high waisted shorts or pants, showing very little to no stomach, and definitely not the belly button.

However, my girlfriend is quite proud of her flat stomach that she's achieved through her diet and fitness routine, and wants to not so subtly show it off.

Obviously she wouldn't dress this way to professional or formal occasions, or if she wanted to be taken serious... but casual occasions like casual parties, walking around with friends, pools and beaches, lounging around, the mall, etc. And since she's pale as fuck, obvious extra sunscreen if it's outdoors.

I think it looks fine, but I don't know shit about fashion.

I'm 19 years old, my mom is 42, she was 23 when she had me. As far as I can remember, she's always had a very modest style of dress. Always fitted or baggy pants, never tight ones. All her dresses and skirts were maxis as well. Rarely even saw as much as her ankles.

When looking at old family photos together though, to my surprise she was wearing very short dresses. Apparently, she used to wear them regularly up till 29 years old, when I was around 6. I definitely didn't remember. I may have had super vague memories, but I thought they were dreams or something.

When I commented on it, she surprisingly didn't think they were too short at all. She said she only stopped wearing them because she felt they were a bit too childish for 29 and older.

Even when that in mind though, to me they just seem SHORT as hell. Kind of trippy seeing a younger version of my mom dressed like this.

I haven't really worn shorts since I was about 15, but more recently I bought two pairs of shorts about 3 inches above the knee that hit around mid-thigh on me.

While I love how they look and feel on me, I've gotten a lot of negative comments about my shorts, asking me if I'm gay or bought the wrong size or whatever.

To me that doesn't really make sense. They do NOT look that short at all to me, and I believe they're called "shorts" for a reason.

Am I really expected to wear shorts below my knees?
