Girls, what skincare routine would you love guys to follow?

What do you expect from guys?

Nothing fancy. The skincare industry is kind of bogus. Markups are huge, many ingredients in them are actually harming us (disrupting our hormones, making us infertile, sick, cancerous), and it's a lot of fancy packaging to exploit our insecurities about beauty and aging.

That being said, guys should not ignore their health, and skin, so moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Invest some time finding one great, non-greasy, neutral or not bad-smelling cream or lotion (a body lotion is good enough for the face too) and lather up after a shower. Do this for years, don't stop. And hydrate the inside by drinking enough healthy liquids (the water recommendation has been overblown, and coffee is a diuretic but is is a net positive in the end, and the whole electrolytes thing is also pretty bogus unless working out extremely hard.)

If a guy would enjoy it, I've also thought about recommending getting a facial once in a while. It's an interesting experience. You think, how good can this be? It's just the face. But I bet a lot of guys would get off on it (and yes, I mean that as a double entendre. Which might be a bit of a problem but you also might enjoy it.) They put like a dozen different lotions on you, in the dark and silence. (Although, I have to say, as soon as I get home and clean the last greasy layer off, my skin is dry again! So I have very mixed feelings about it all.)

I totally agree with you! Like my daily routine obviously includes a prolonged bath but I also apply face scrub, sunscreen, facewash, intimate wash and keep myself hydrated. Hygiene is of paramount importance to me. I appreciate your advice. Would keep all those things in mind. :)

If you have stubble, shave it… daily! If your eyebrows are just TOO bushy, do something… we do, every day! Oh, trim your nose hair, it’s gross! Other than that, just shower EVERY day, and we’re pretty much happy 😊

I agree with everything you said. You'd be elated to know that I do all of this stuff and plus use a facewash, face scrub, sunscreen, intimate wash, body lotion and what not. :)

Wait, why would I “be elated” that YOU do that stuff? I’m elated that my boyfriend does it, I truly don’t care what anyone else does. Your personal grooming habits are none of my business. However I’m sure that whatever woman you’re with in the future, will be elated that you do those things.

Elated as in knowing that more and more guys are into skincare routine haha. I am sorry for the confusion. I've heard a lot of girls crib that guys don't follow a basic skincare routine. It's great to see more guys do that. That's my only point.

Yeah, four years apart from each other, thousands of miles between us, and basically only Christmas OR Thanksgiving is the only time we’d actually get time off at the same time! So even with Skype, Zoom, & FaceTime, it’s just TOO much to ask! (And believe me he asked, he begged, now he’s just sad and sulking) but hey, “We” decided this together as a couple. Because “We” are a mature adult, and “We” don’t want to go BACK to nothing but masturbating three times a day while staring at a 9.5” screen!

I tend to hide my pain with inappropriate humor, which is basically just jokes nobody gets but me? breaking-up is like pulling off a Bandaid, it may hurt but the quicker you rip it off the sooner the discomfort will be over! My problem is that he didn’t do anything wrong, and I really love him, but the pain of being apart for four years, is just too much, and like my mom said, it’s just not fair to either of us, to expect the other to wait for four years maybe 7 or 8 with any advanced degrees, when we don’t even know who we will be in 4 years! So she has a point! It’s for the best!
