For example if they say you're hot, handsome, pretty, fit etc how often do you actually accept and believe those compliments.

I know personally I don't really believe them unless I have actually tried or have gone out of my way to do something for my appearance. If I've freshly done my hair or put make-up on, have a pretty outfit on. Sometimes it even depends on the place, if I'm at a bar for example - a lot of times I hear a compliment and simply think, okay I'm pretty enough to fuck.
