Yes, the oils on your finger act as a surfactant and break the surface tension of the water in the soda, and thus deny the absorbed CO2 any additional enucleation sites to form new bubbles. Don’t forget that one bubble can act as an enucleation site for many other bubbles

Ahhh LyndsieLee, but they are not the same at all, while grease is solid at room temperature, oil is not, oil is always liquid at room temperature. It’s also the difference between saturated fats and unsaturated fats. Saturated fat is almost always solid at room temperature, while unsaturated fat is usually liquid. Jk. Lol just kidding.
