Do Americans drink more coffee than Brits?

I feel like we don’t drink as much coffee as Americans. Also I think more Americans drink coffee at home than Brits. I have no statistics to prove it but I’m sure that more Brits own a kettle than they do a coffee maker. Whereas it’s probably the opposite for Americans.

I've never been in an American's home whom didn't have a tea pot. Most American homes also have coffee makes as well, but boiling some water for tea, hot chocolate, instant meals like roman cup noodles, etc all use a tea pot. In the south iced tea is very common. We still drink hot tea as well, but hot coffee is more common at breakfast time while tea is more of a mid-day to evening type of thing.

Why a teapot and not a kettle

What I call a teapot would be a stove top kettle. That's just the local vernacular. Most people don't use a kettle to boil water and then pour the boiled water into a traditional teapot to steep the tea and have formal tea times or whatever. Hot tea is normally steeped in the teacup or mug you drink it out of. Larger batches of tea are often made in the tea kettle for pitchers of iced tea. Then the tea kettle is washed. There are people that do it the more formal way and also people that own electric tea kettles, but they are very uncommon. That sort of thing is more of an eccentric hobby in America from what I've experienced.

I think we do. We're crazy about coffee while other countries are like "Tea, please." Tea is still very good though. I like tea bags, iced tea, hot tea, and boba/bubble tea.
