I love mashed potatoes with butter, salt and pepper or, especially, with gravy. Mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving are mandatory.

But I selected baked because I like to load them up with butter, sour cream, salt, pepper, bacon, chives, and grated cheddar cheese. They make an entire meal. Plus, I love the skins. My wife and I make them like that at home regularly.

I like roasted potatoes, but they are my least favorite of the three choices.

I like them all, but roasted, mashed and baked, in that order. As much as I like mashed, I prefer roasted because you can make them so many different ways.

They make some as a full meal. Pulled chicken, veggies, cheese, and sour cream all in a potato.

Of the choices I prefer roasted. Mashed are nice with a bit of English whole grain mustard
