I love burgers but a nice filet beats that any day. I'm a meat and potatoes girl. We have a high end butcher here. Even there shop is state of the art and fancy. For special occasions with the girly we will get a couple filets. At Valentine's day they do this delmonico special with a bottle of wine. I'll surprise her with that this year I think. Hard to beat that with a burger although I do love a really good handmade burger.

A nice tender juicy steak can’t be wrong… but a wood fired grill can make a superb burger…

If you know your cuts you can get a superb piece of meat from a wholesaler too. It’s all in the trimming

You can’t beat a great cut. There is a great meat place local here too, but I usually buy the 20# slabs and trim my own

I like aged steak. T-bone. Sometimes I get bone in ribeye. Once or twice a month.

i grew up “eating” school “burgers” I never ever touch another after having one. I prob. tried a Big Mac once…never again. In might have had one from Burger King or some other places like shake shack … I just gave up burgers completely…not worth my money.
As I mentioned below…unless I know the meat is freshly ground from quality meat (I can tell) … I wouldn’t care to order burgers.
my kids had burgers from high end steakhouses ($40 a burger?) it’s fine with me if that’s what they prefer … but I get the steaks there.

Our bank account and my cholesterol wouldn't be happy with steak, seven days a week. About once a week, I try to treat myself. There's a great little meat market about 20 minutes down the road by car, or an hour by bike, and I often go there to get their custom-made sausages and some steak. All the animals raised in a two county area, so no factory farm animals.

Steak is a far better option , the hamburger meat is ( generally ) a vastly poorer mix , it can be different , but rarely is... if you make your own for example , but fast food sht is a never ever , if you like being healthy and above ground.

I found one place down the road (when we moved here 2 years. ago). They made it from good quality meat… only place I would eat a burger… I had maybe 3-4…I was happy.. but they changed their meat since and no more burgers for me again.

It is a steak place … just not a $200 ⬆️. Steakhouse.
They even branded their buns.. it was so good… now they use that pretzel bun, such turn off from a branded bun, high quality meat to mushy burger in a pretzel bun. I just stopped going even though it’s a 2 minute drive or 15 m. walk…nice bar with tomahawk steaks…still I got turned off since. 😔
I just drive further to better quality steakhouses.

I've never been much of a steak aficionado, give me the burger. Plus, there are many ways to enhance a burger (cheese, pickles, ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, bun) compared to what you can do to a steak.
