Absolutely! I love pineapple.
I order guava jam from a Hawaiian company on occasion. It's not overly sweet. I first tasted it while on vacation with my wife in Hawaii.

Guava jam sounds awesome. I loved Guava juice when I was in Singapore and Malaysia but first time I heard about Guava jam. I want to try it now!

I thought it added a nice fruity sweetness against the spice of the BBQ sauce. And those are the only two ingredients other than the kielbasa, so it’s a big part of the flavor profile. I don’t know that it’s a regular ingredient in BBQ, and I wouldn’t even call what I made true BBQ, it just had a BBQ sauce base. Just an easy h’ors d’oeuvres. The actual recipe calls for grape jelly, but I thought this would be more interesting.
