I’m getting ready to throw this sausage in the skillet when I realized I’m 28 and I’ve never had a pack of sausage last longer than 3 days in my life 😂
I bought em 5 days ago should I cook the last two and see what happens?

Sausage can stay in the fridge forever. The question really is: How long can it stay in the fridge and still be safely eaten. And even that question deserves some clarification. Is the sausage still raw or has it been cooked? And is it in the fridge or the freezer?
If still raw, less than 4 days.
If already cooked, 4-6 days.
If frozen, more than 6 days.
A couple of weeks. Especially if it is sealed.
If sealed you should be fine.. depends on the package date though. How long it was sitting on the store self. Also if it was exposed to high temps during the trip from store to home fridge.
Definitely got a little warm. It was around 97F that day so even though I only drove for 3 minutes my ac in my car is broken. And since that day the sedan wrap film was torn.
Ick. Cut your losses. Next time buy a bag of frozen veggies for transport.
Hey, it looks like you're about to embark on a little fridge exploration adventure with your sausage! Typically, raw sausages will last in the fridge for about 1-2 days after the sell-by date, while cooked sausages can last up to a week. Since you've had them for 5 days, if they were uncooked, it's a bit of a dice roll. Check for any noticeable bad odors, discoloration, or sliminess. If they seem alright in those aspects, they might still be good to go. But when in doubt, it's better to play it safe and avoid a potential foodborne illness. Cooking and tasting should be a joy, not a gamble! 😉🍽️
