Salt and chocolate are a great match. Nearly as good as caramel and Salt.
That being said I am also one of those crazy people who eat salt and vinegar chips.

The secret to great chocolate chip cookies is something I learned by mistake-Use salted butter. The same with oatmeal raisin cookies. Add walnuts and use salted butter. You don't have to add any salt after that. For years I tried to figure out what the cookies were missing that were bought from the store. I don't know shit about baking and never asked anybody. I know I'm good at it, though
