This is my dad's work cooler

He thinks it's fine, since the food is in zip lock bags and isn't touching the cooler, and the fruit, he's not eating the skin.

My grandmother used to clean out the fridge once a month and, anything that had mold on it, she'd cut off the mold and toss the rest into a pot to make a stew out of it and then feed it to the entire family!! They all lived well into their 90's and `80's!!
Our body need some germs.
@midnightmoon05 Exactly!! It has ways of fighting off such things but, if it doesn't get the practice, a common cold will REALLY lay your ass out!!
I would either bleach it or more likely just go on Amazon and get another one. And maybe grab him a box of garbage liners so it doesn't happen again.
That looks disgusting. If it were just discoloured plastic I could see his point but this clearly looks dirty.
Potato, 🥔
You're probably too young to remember the scene from Seinfeld that talks about this topic.
George concludes that since that donut is clearly not touching the garbage and is above the top of the rim, it's fair game to eat. To paint a better picture, that was not George's kitchen, he was just passing through and noticed the perfectly good donut on top of the garbage. He took a bite and the host of the dinner party caught him and looked on in disgust?
@shish_kebab yep never watched any of that.
I remember that one. I don't think it was a donut though. Was that the same one where the same lady saw him cleaning coffee off his car with a newspaper and thought he was homeless?
You now have a clear idea of what to give your dad for Christmas.
I was literally thinking that
I wouldn’t eat from that cooler if it’s visibly dirty, moldy, or has old spills, even if the food is in zip bags. 🤢
Bags can leak, and bacteria can spread from the surfaces to the food, especially if the bags aren’t perfectly sealed.
I’d wash and sanitize the cooler, then keep everything in clean containers or fresh bags. Much safer and tastes better too.

Ha! I've enjoyed coconuts from some pretty nasty looking coolers off the beaches of Costa Rica. Just have a cocktail and you won't worry about the street vendors cleanliness so much.
I'd rather starve
I would use it if it can be cleaned.
That cooler needs to be washed! WTF! lol
Personally I wouldn’t
Nope
