What does it mean when a taken girl flirts with you?

I've known this super nice girl for a while now but has a boyfriend. She has always been real nice since the beginning holding cool conversations whenever. But sometimes she doesn't talk to me almost like she's shy or something. I don't talk back cuz well...I don't want to push it if she doesn't feel like speaking. She flirts with me from time to time and it confuses me. She already is in a relationship but yet she gives a vibe of "i am interested in you". I draw, and whenever people see my drawings she always says I'm such a good drawer and how I'm super talented. I don't even have to say anything lol.

Since I know she has a boyfriend, I hold off from flirting myself because I think it's a little wrong so I try to ignore it from her too. One time she even tried to put her hand on mine pretending like if she wasn't aware of it but I saw it inch closer. I let it happen cuz I wanted to see how far she'd get. It baffles me really!

So girls what does this even mean? Is she not taking her relationship seriously or having complications, or am I just misreading the whole situation? :\

I'm not going to call her a bitch etc because I don't know her. She might be really unhappy in her relationship. She might be neglected or hurt by her SO. If she was trying to hold your hand you are not misreading, but I suggest you keep your feelings to yourself don't start crushing on this girl and pay no attention to her flirtations. I think one answer is very much the same to the next for a question like this so to summarise all of the advice/opinions into one:

1) Do not flirt back.
2) She isn't a very good person to be doing this to her SO.
3) She would probably do this to you if you started a relationship with her.
4) She could be doing this solely for the attention of two guys in which case, is she worth all the thought you are putting into this?

To answer #4 it is important enough to me because not only will this lead me to understand the opposite better, i can valid myself getn into something like this agin. Thanks for your pointers btw. Sometimes there are times when we need to step down our pedestal to see what the ground view looks like which in this case is reality.

It's a warm up round. I've been told i do the same, but i think everyone does, even married people. It's pointless flirting, just for a laugh really, but on a deeper psychological level, it's about keeping yourself in the game just in case. It doesn't matter how long you're with the person, we can't help being frail emotionally. So most people flirt with a random person at work, that person flirts back and it carries on, never going anywhere.
This is just something that humans do.

Yeah I know it's not nice at all. Either im getn a different drift or she's just super super nice. She seems innocent so I don't want to think bad of her :\ maybe she just wants to be friends.

Yes she has been acting different. Like a shy kind of different. But I feel like it's mainly my fault cuz I don't talk either (like I said in the post above). And then all of a sudden she talks to me like were best friends and stuns me. I don't know what hell is going here.

Maybe she's only flirting with you cause she either wants 2 guys fighting over her or she's flirting with you cause her barriers are down since she has a boyfriend.

I wouldn't recommend to flirt with her as things may get ugly with her boyfriend.

I don't even know what to think really. This is just so uneasy. She's far from bitch in terms of personality but who am I to say. She might be completely different outside of the realm where I know her.

I don't know I think those women tend to be more hoish, however, it is kind of normal. I grew up a tomboy with only brothers and mostly guy friends in my childhood (though I couldn't survive without my gfs now lol) anyway, being that it was that way for me...I never spoke to men and women differently, as many girls do. Many of my girlfriends make their voices noticeably higher and even act dumber around guys, I don't get it. I'm also notoriously bad at flirting. So...go figure.
