A little once in a while, it's not an issue. If you're practically messing your pants, or you're doing something obnoxious that a brother would do, then that's not cool.

I still laugh at the remake of the Nutty Professor when the Klumps are farting like crazy. If other people are doing it, and it doesn't stink, and the joke doesn't go on WAY to long, then fine.

Let's say my hypothetical girlfriend farts a little on occasion, ok. I'll laugh, and probably forget it. If she's doing it on purpose constantly, and then talks about it at the dinner table, or practically sharts herself because she's being obnoxious, then it's not cool.

I try not to fart in front of polite company, I'd hope any girlfriend would do that for me.

If we're comfortable with each other, then I wouldn't care if she farted, I would laugh. As long as she doesn't makes a habit of farting every time, or in place where she shouldn't fart, like while eating, then I don't care. It's something natural, that I rather not hear/smell, but if I do, I wouldn't freak out.

It puts me off. Girl, guy- it's gross. I only do it when I'm alone. If I REALLY want to in somebody else's company, I'd rather explode on the inside that let it out. I find it rude, gross and grubby. I was raised by French parents who really emphasized etiquette. But having grown up in the States I found many people do it just 'to be funny' even though I miss the humour.
If my guy did it I'd be offput for sure.

i always used to catch my ex farting and when i did she was like "shut up, shut the fuck up"

I am pretty immature but as long as it doesn't smell absolutely terrible I would probably think it is funny or cute. It is a natural bodily function, not sure why I should be offended by it.
