Girls, when you go out in public do you know that guys are checking you out?

do you know that guys are looking at you when you go to malls and stuff? the reason i ask is that when i go out the hot girls i see look so unnapproachable. they walk fast, so its difficult to talk to them. they dont even make eye contact so you can't even smile at them or catch their and they generally have unfriendly facial expressions, which discourages me from going up to them. it's like all you care about is being in your own world, which doesn't make sense, because most people have relatively boring lives compared to mine. do you purposefully give off such unfriendly vibes? and when you do go out, do you consider that guy might be checking you out and may want to approach you?

depending on where we are, sometimes we are just not interested in being approached. sorry if it sounds harsh but unless we're going to a club/bar/party (and sometimes not even then) our priority is not looking available for men. and if they are interested they will show you. there's so many scenarios as to why they don't seem approachable that i'm not really sure why that bothers you. they could already be taken, be getting over a break up, be in a hurry to get somewhere or really just not interested in talking. it's not worth it to chase people who aren't presenting themselves as available. i personally try to present myself as friendly to people in general if they seem open but i can't fault a woman or man who doesn't, especially just randomly in a public place, you never really know what people are thinking and even a smile can be interpreted as something more nowadays. hopefully you'll find somebody that reciprocates your feelings soon!

from the situations you described, i could understand if it were just a few girls who acted this way, but not practically every girl i see. thats why it bothers me. are you telling me they all are either taken or not looking to meet someone new? that can't be the case, because a lot of girls complain about not knowing enough dateable guys. what disturbs is that you say you PRIORITISE not looking availbe to guys seriously? why would you go out of your way to make guys believe you're not interested?

i think you misunderstood me about what i meant by prioritizing. you posed your question as if we're supposed to always be on the look out or prepared in case some guy expresses interest. so my response to that is basically telling you that there are girls that exist that aren't worried about whether you're looking or not. and it's not to be mean or unfriendly, they just have other things on their minds (like the scenarios i listed above.) sure there are going to be girls who think they're too good and purposefully ignore you, but you can't do anything about them, and i wouldn't even bother stressing over that because they aren't worth it. i don't want to say i don't believe you, but to say that it's practically every girl you see seems exaggerated, but if that's the case you might be looking in the wrong places. just the fact that you specifically said "hot girls" means that there's probably a whole sea of women you're ignoring because they don't fit your idea of attractive.

well yeah, that is better. the explanation you gave does make sense. but i would like some more answers so that i know whether it applies to girls in general, or just you. also, how do you 'unintentionally' brush someone off? i think what you meant to say is that it wasn't personal?
