Girls, Why do girls like singers so much?

I understand why they are attracted to JB or like Zayn Malik or any of the "pretty boy" singers. What I don't understand is how they can be so attracted to someone who looks like Ed Sheeran. Personally I think he's amazing as far as singing and being a person in general... But he's kind of ugly but girls can't get enough of him. I don't totally understand how there is physical attraction to singers that aren't very good looking.

Singing is one of the most intimate things you can do with a person. Most singers sing about life and love and things important to them, so it makes us feel like we almost know them personally. My boyfriend is in choir and he sings me a lullaby every night before bed.

i think it's the fact that those 'ugly' singers move their souls. the lyrics connect. they feel what the girls are feeling. they understand.
that's the mindset anyway. i personally don't think ed is 'ugly' anyways. he's a little scruffy sure, but he cute =]

We're attracted to singers like Ed because he appeals to our emotions and sensitive side. I don't like him personally, but I know other girls do for that reason. I like listening to music that appeals to my soul and not necessarily the physicality of the singer because when I listen to music I want I to be able to relate to my life or make me feel something.

I figured that was the reason. But that puts those of us who aren't good at singing or music in general... how are we supposed to make that ground up

You don't need to be a professional singer to impress a woman I was just responding regarding your question. Most girls are pursuing relationships specifically for a guy who can sing romantically to sweep them of their feet lol.

God you guys make it so hard on us lol. It sucks cuz we find a girl we really like and we aren't what they are looking for and more often than not get let down

1) His voice obviously
2) Romance. Most content in his music is all about "ooh girl you're special" type and They've used that tactic since God knows when, in the entertainment industry because women eat that sh up.
3) It adds to his character that he's not ridiculously handsome. Makes him seem more real and attainable and not like a Hollywood robot.
