Girls, Why are women obsessed with their own butts?

Maybe it's because it's emphasized so much right now in popular culture. Plus, there is more that can be done about it than about a girl's upper assets which usually can't be helped very much except for surgery. There are so many women exercising and dieting extensively, placing a lot of emphasis on that part of the body, and posting pictures of themselves which other women envy. There are polls now saying that men care more about the bottom than any other body part and that men prefer bigger assets, both of which are contrary to what had been common understanding among women. That leads to there being a sort of trendy statement about having larger lower assets; it's very modern to purposefully make your bottom bigger. Plus, the look of a muscular, disproportionately large bottom half with little body fat is difficult to obtain, making it impressive to other women, and, because so many women put so much effort into it, having a naturally curvier lower half is also enviable. Clothes now also put emphasis on the lower half--higher necklines, looser tops, tighter pants and skirts but not as much short shorts and mini skirts and mini dresses as in the previous decade, so the emphasis is definitely on the bottom more than the legs and especially the bust. Having something on display is always more cause to obsess over it and more reason for guys to look at it and maybe talk about it, so it's a cycle. The last and most obvious reason is because guys often visibly, obviously look there, even when there is no "there" there, almost no matter what the girl is wearing, and sometimes they talk about her later. Not every girl wants a guy to look, but no girl wants him to be disappointed (lol). So... There are a lot of reasons, but mainly it's a cultural fixation and a trend like larger upper assets in the 50s, long legs in the 80s, etc. Years from now, we might all be fixated on our shoulders or hands or feet or something:). It's just that girls sometimes don't know what guys want or worry too much about the wrong things, like wearing too much makeup, spending too much time on our hair and nails, and suntanning when we would do better from a guy's perspective just to spend some of that time and effort exercising and maybe learning how to cook better lol:) And, we seem to forget and re-discover the same truth every few generations. People are so silly:) Sorry for writing you another book.

I'm not obsessed with my butt size but I also like to walk by without bumping into people or knocking things off tables and stuff because my butt is so big. I think most women are concerned that men are going to stsre at their butts because men do that. We are self-conscious about everything.
