What does it mean when a girl bites her lip at you?

This happened to me twice recently. The first was a girl at work who seemed to do it absentmindedly while I was talking. The second was when I was talking to a girl with another guy present. She seemed to laugh more at his comments and they know each other better so I assume she's more into him.

But she asked me questions (we were studying for a test) and actively brought me into the conversation. She bit her lip while I was talking once or twice and unlike the other girl was smiling at the same time.

Why do girls bite their lips and can you explain (or at least speculate) these two examples? I haven't noticed it before but this happened twice in one day and I don't know what to make of it.

It doesn't need to mean anything, really.
I kind of bite my lips out of habit, usually more if I'm studying or doing something where I get lost in thought. It happens a lot at the gym, and I can't tell you the number of times where I made eye contact with a guy there as I just so happened to be biting my lip.
Pure coincidence. I never so it with any hidden agenda.

Regardless of the fact of it's done intentionally or subconsciously either way it was done for a reason and the ladies are digging you. One was accidental flirting and the other... Not so much.

Since the first one was absentmindedly it probably didn't mean anything, it could have been habit or a tick or she could have been nervous. Like I always play with a tooth with my tongue when I'm thinking and people always ask why I make weird faces lol.

I'm not really sure what the second one meant.

Girls don't usually tend to realize they do it, but they usually do it when they are turned on, like someone, or are concentrating on something.
