Iv worn (as a bet) and the novelty wears off fast. Girls will smile and laugh for a while, then it just gets awkward. Also, shrinkage is real however... If you're confident and daring enough (and drunk enough) to say "Im a grower, not a shower", you will get points in their book (or at least thats how it went down in my head that night)

Its probably because anyone I see wearing a speedo (except maybe swimming competitions) is self absorbed or weird and they just look weird in my opinion. This is just my opinion though, so do as you like.

Its less to do with how it looks in general than who tends to wear them in my opinion. I think thats why i see them in a negative light. If someone simply is wearing one as opposed to wanting people to look at them, it changes things. However, i think as long as bobybuilders and attention seekers wear them, i won't be comfortable seeing them. I mysealf always try to wear shorts or something similar that dont tend to gp with the ideals of bikinis, so i get what you mean by girls and guys not generally having the same standards... because i can't find swimshorts in the average clothing store.

But it stands that lots of people do tend to wear them for attention and I think, in my mind, i really really dislike people who always seek attention-it makes me want to completely ignore their existences.

I guess part of my argument is that people should wear them just as swimwear, because speedos are practical and comfortable, and if more people did it would kind of negate the people who wear them to "show off"
