Guys: What do you think of clumsy/klutzy women? This has often been portrayed as endearing in movies or shows?

I have to admit that I do find it endearing (most of all have some moments of clumsiness anyway). None of us is perfect, and if she has self-deprecating humor over it, so much the better.

Nope, those are "chick flicks" were you can be real bad at everything, totally disrespect a dude, and still have a model chase you for 500 miles... I'd say being playful, a bit of a smart ass, quirky, caring, etc. is more charming. To take a movie example Lucy Liu in Lucky Number Slevin. She's a coroner... It's weird, but by no means incompetent or ditsy. She's inquisitive, smart, flirty, witty, and doesn't really fit into normality.

Like you pointed out, it isn't a "real" flaw. It doesn't bother me in the least. However, at the same time, I don't fantasize about pretty women spilling their drinks or tripping over a curb.

It's a non-issue to me. Not something even worth analyzing.

Once was a time when grace was a large part of female social status. A woman with elite beauty and grace would be unattainable to common men. A woman with elite beauty who lacks grace would be more attainable. What you're observing is the classic fairytale role reversal. Rather than the poor maiden longing for her prince, it's the pauper longing for his princess. The fantasy has to be realistic or it's not, as you wrote, "palatable". The audience must be able to suspend disbelief to appreciate the story fully. There are a great many double standards in the film industry. I suspect more will arise with the recent upswing in the desire to portray more strong female leads and heroines.
In real life, my first girlfriend was a mild klutz. She never really hurt herself or other people, but she was always tripping, dropping things or knocking them over. And she had a goofy laugh so when she klutzed, she sounded as ridiculous as she looked. I didn't mind. I thought we were good together.

Delivering a cake for a special occasion and there was a narrow walkway to the outdoors party area, anyways we nervous as the lady step over and around chairs and pool equipment, she midway and she just stops and looks up, we all look up to see what she is looking at and before we know it she lets out a loud sneeze and I guess the recoil and that close to the pool edge in heels, she loses her balance and falls right in cake and all.
