Would a girl rest her head on anyone's shoulder even on a guy not that close to her?

I don't think a girl would just rest her head on any guy. And it doesn't necessarily mean that she has feelings for him if she rests her head on his shoulder. I only rest my head on my close friends, guys or girls. Most of the time with my "brother"/best friend.(he considers me a little sister and I consider him a big brother.no blood relation.) Most girls do this because they feel secure and it just feels right when you rest your head on a guys shoulder.I suggest you look for other signs that might hint that she has feelings for you.

It's a silent way of telling someone she trusts them but also could be way of telling a guy they think their cute I often get shy in those situations for fear of saying/ doing something wrong

I can speak for myself when I say yes. I need to be close to a guy to do this.

And I don't need to be attracted to him, I do that to my best friend I have no feelings for.

If I was attracted to a guy, I would probably need a lot of courage, so I wouldn't dare doing that.

i think it just means she feels comfortable around you, it doesn't mean she likes you unless she is super shy and reserved. then that could be a sign she likes you, otherwise its just she feels relaxed around you enough so she puts her head on your shoulder

a lot of my girl friends do that but it doesn't mean they like me. I think they just like the thought of having their head on a mans shoulders.

It doesn't necessarily mean that she has romantic feelings for him. But I wouldn't expect her to do it with anyone that she isn't close to. I've never been in this type of situation with a girl before, myself. But I imagine that it must be a very nice thing to do when she is feeling stressed and needs a shoulder to rest on. Someone that she cares about who cares about her back.

The average guy tends to be more touchy feely towards girls than towards other guys. While the average girl tends to be more touchy feely in general. Although guys can be more touchy feely towards other guys if at least the younger of the two is a minor and clearly not in the same age group as the older of the two for them to have any sort of romantic connection.

Probably because two guys acting like that who are in the same age group is typically frowned upon due to homophobia, regardless if the relationship is purely platonic. Handholding is another thing that you may see in relationships. Particularly with boys in different age groups, guys and girls, or girls and girls. I recently did some research to see why some people resort to handholding when one of them is potentially grieving either on the outside or the inside.

According to multiple sites, handholding helps to release anti-stress and love hormones. So I imagine if a girl was feeling stressed and a guy put one of his arms around her, put his other hand on her lap and took hold of her hand, and had her rest her head on his shoulder, that would be a very pleasant feeling for both parties, whether they be in a platonic or romantic relationship.

I wouldn't expect a girl to rest her head on anyone's shoulder unless there were any immediate gestures beforehand though. And I wouldn't expect a girl to do it at all unless she was sure that the guy would be cool with it.

Yes. I have seen it a lot. One time I can definitely remember.. a girl in high school was all over this guy she JUST met.. laying on his shoulder, sleeping etc. on a bus ride from a .. like a field trip. Some people are a little more open with these things. I personally wouldn't be able to do that unless I liked the person or was very close with them. But like the 'bus girl' .. there are many who are more comfortable with these actions.

It depends on the girl. For example my friend will lean her head and touch and hug and hang on guys but it doesn't mean anything she's just naturally touchy and flirty. Me however I'm not a very touchy person, I have my space and I'm just more reserved so if I was leaning on a guy it might mean more like I liked him or I was just really really comfortable with him

If I'm tired I put my head on any shoulder I see close to me, I have no problem doing that, no matter whoit is, for me it's just a bonus if it's a guy I like :) but most girls aren't as open minded as on these things though, but I would definitely put my head on his shoulder if he had his arm wrapped around me, that would just me cosy, no matter who the guy is :)

I only do it with my closest guy friend who I eventually developed feelings for. I did it before I started liking him, and more since I like him. I wouldn't do it to just any guy, no way!

Basically I was sitting close to a guy on the bus and yes... i put my head on his shoulder after 12 hours of travelling from London to Amsterdam. I was exhausted for the trip but at the same time I felt this kind of connection with him.

As a woman I can assure you I only would only rest my head on a guy I liked romantically. It’s a little hint to let him know how much I adore him.
